What are some good costume ideas for Halloween theme?

My friend and I (both 17) decided he wanted to go out and have fun (and get free candy) this year. We decided to go trick or treatment, and we want our fancy dress themed costumes. Some of our ideas are: 1. John McCain and Sarah Palin 2. Renaissance King (or Knight) and queen (or princess) 3. Cows 4. Old Man and Woman 5. Huck Finn and Aunt Polly (in modern times, but dressed as the book, especially outfit elderly with a twist) 6. Priest and Nun 7. Manager at a local bookstore and manager of a local grocery store ( "Steve and Louann") [personally fear] I'm on a budget, and I have no clothes, but what I would like suggestions on how to make these cheap suits or other costumes ideas cheap.
